Abuja, Nigeria
The Rapid Access Expansion Program (RAcE), financed through Global Affairs Canada, is a five year program to implement and document integrated community case management (iCCM) in five high-burden sub-Saharan Africa countries – the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Malawi, Mozambique, Niger and Nigeria.
Hosted by the Federal Ministry of Health of Nigeria and the World Health Organization, the four-day RAcE Multi-Country Dissemination Meeting gathered ministry of health, non-governmental organization, academic, and international public health representatives to highlight achievements, crystallize lessons learned, and elaborate sustainability roadmaps.
The objective of the meeting was to share the evidence generated by the RAcE Program to help countries to catalyze scale-up of high-quality, national iCCM programs to reduce child mortality, specifically:
- To share iCCM implementation experience, household survey and final evaluation results to inform and influence national policies and programs; and
- To share the experience from the iCCM sustainability roadmap initiative, the results of operational research and program learning from RAcE supported countries.
